  15. <p>     FACING CHARGES. COURTNEY LOVE, 28, singer and wife of late singer-songwriter-guitarist
  16. Kurt Cobain; in Beverly Hills, California. Love was arrested
  17. on drug charges the day before her husband, front man for the
  18. band Nirvana, killed himself. Quickly released on bail, Love
  19. is scheduled to be arraigned on May 5--at which point the
  20. fate of the couple's daughter may also become a matter for the
  21. courts. Should Love be convicted, it is likely that custody
  22. of 19-month-old Frances Bean Cobain will be given to a relative
  23. or child-welfare officials.
